A Restorative Yoga practice is all about slowing down, practicing stillness, relaxing your muscles and being quiet, and has relaxing, calming, and healing effects. It involves holding poses for relatively long periods of time, often with the help from props such as blankets, bolsters and blocks that help support your body so you can relax.
This practice draws our attention inwards, as we learn to flow between the states of wakefulness and sleep. From this restful space, our body can find its natural state of equilibrium. Here the breath balances and becomes quiet, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. With the presence of the Crystal Bowls it brings a whole other layer of deep healing to this experience. They create a range of sounds which bring harmony back to the body and mind. This complete practice takes us effortlessly into a state of harmonious, restful being, where we can be healed, restored, and awakened to our true nature.
